What we offer
Training and Development
We’re committed to ensuring that you fulfil your potential. With this in mind, we offer an extensive training programme that includes a comprehensive induction schedule and ongoing support. We’ll also give you every opportunity to develop your interests into a specific area of social work and to aid newly qualified social workers, we’re registered members of the Children’s Workforce Development Councils (CWDC) Newly Qualified Social Work Scheme. For those with more experience, we offer an extensive short course programme, a year-long high level modular programme for senior social workers and deputy managers, as well as access to funding for external qualification courses. We also provide a range of supervisory and management development programmes to help you progress your career and move up the ranks.
Staff Transfer Scheme
The staff transfer scheme offers social workers the potential opportunity to transfer over time, between teams, to a post of the same level. This allows staff the opportunity to develop professional expertise by working across a range of specialist teams.
Salary
We offer annual salary increments, to the top of your scale, determined through assessment of your work performance and any other business considerations. Salaries are also reviewed every year taking into account any decisions of the appropriate national and/or provincial negotiating bodies.
Please note that on the Social Worker career grade scheme, successful candidates will be appointed to the appropriate point of the scale based on their skills and abilities and performance at interview. Once employed by Ealing, individuals have the opportunity to move through the grades based on local agreed criteria. Details will be discussed on appointment.
